THE WESSEX ROYALE HOTEL

32 THE HIGH WEST STREET, DORCHESTER, DORSET

A Delightful Georgian Building Constructed in 1756

The Wessex Royale Hotel, a delightful Georgian Hotel built in 1756, is set in the very centre of the pretty historic market town of Dorchester.

Whilst retaining much of its original character, The Wessex Royale has been sympathetically extended, and now provides modern facilities for the business and leisure traveller in 27 attractively decorated rooms.

Following a similar design to that of John Wood’s Royal Crescent in Bath, and built in the same year. As you would expect this classical Georgian building has a Grand Staircase, Panelling and Fireplaces in abundance.

The Hotel Bar & Restaurant offer Coffee, Teas and Biscuits, Lunches and Dinner whilst the Bar and Lounge are a magnet for more relaxed socialising with drinks and light meals served at lunch as well as dinner.

FREE parking is available on site, however this is limited and so is unable to be reserved. If you fail to obtain a space, there is a long stay car park approximately 350 yards away; this is chargeable through the day, but free from 6pm – 8am. The hotel has Wireless and Broadband Internet connectivity throughout.

Sited close to the River Frome, Weymouth, Poole, Lyme Regis, Swanage, Bournemouth, Yeovil and the Jurassic Coast are all within driving distance.

The Wessex Royale Hotel is the perfect base for both business and leisure guests. All bedrooms have en suite bathrooms with a bath and power shower, televisions with complimentary Sky Sports 1, 2 & 3 and freeview channels, direct dial telephones, hair dryers and hospitality trays.

The Wessex Royale has  the beautiful Victoria Borough Gardens located to the rear, and is an ideal venue for Weddings.
